ExploMeal Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the ExploMeal app ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. It applies to the ExploMeal apps for Android, iOS and the web.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, sign-in provider (email/password, Google or Apple) and a unique user ID. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
- Content you create: pantry items (names, quantities, expiry dates), recipes you save, create or import, meal plans, shopping lists, meal diary notes and photos, and messages you send in the recipe chat.
- Food profile (optional): diets, allergies, household size, usual cooking time and main goal, if you choose to give them. Diet and allergy choices can reveal health or religious information; we use them only to tailor the recipes the app creates for you. You can change or clear them at any time in Settings → Food profile.
- Purchases: if you subscribe to Premium, your subscription status (product, store, trial and renewal or expiry dates). Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
- Usage counts: how many AI features (scans, imports, AI recipes, chat messages) you used per day or week, to apply plan limits.
- Photos: images you choose to take or pick (e.g. of a receipt, groceries or a dish) to scan products or to attach to a recipe or chat. Photos are only accessed when you start such an action.
- Settings: app language, time zone and notification preferences (which notifications and at what time).
- Device data: a push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), an app-install identifier, and Firebase App Check data used to protect our backend from abuse.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the app shows no ads.
2. How we use data
- To provide the app's features: syncing your pantry, recipes, plans and shopping list across your devices.
- To generate AI features you request: recognizing products in photos, suggesting and creating recipes, importing recipes from links, the recipe chat and daily recipe suggestions.
- To send the reminders you allow: expiry alerts scheduled on your own device, and for Premium also daily recipe, expiring-item and meal-plan notifications.
- To send cooking tips and occasional Premium offers only if you turn on Tips and offers (off by default; you can turn it off at any time in Settings).
- To provide and manage your Premium subscription and the limits of each plan.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and fix errors.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share data with
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): authentication, database (Cloud Firestore), file storage, Cloud Functions, push notifications and App Check. Data is stored on Google servers.
- Google Gemini (Google LLC, via Firebase AI Logic and the Gemini API): when you use an AI feature, the relevant input (e.g. a photo, pantry item names, a recipe, your chat message and, if you set one, your food profile) is sent to Google's AI models to generate the result.
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): manages Premium purchases. It receives your user ID and the purchase information from Apple or Google to confirm and keep your subscription status up to date.
- Apple and Google app stores: process subscription payments under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Open Food Facts: when you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to look up the product. No personal data is included.
- Websites you import from: when you import a recipe from a link, our server fetches that page. No personal data is sent to the website.
- Sign-in providers: if you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers process your sign-in under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required by law.
4. Security
All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data in our database is restricted to your own account by security rules.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual items at any time in the app. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account; this deletes your account and the data associated with it. You can also request deletion by emailing us (see below). Some data may remain in backups for a limited time before it is removed.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or the Turkish KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

Bu politika, ExploMeal uygulamasının ("uygulama", "biz") hangi verileri topladığını, bunları nasıl kullandığını ve paylaştığını ve sahip olduğunuz seçenekleri açıklar. Android, iOS ve web için ExploMeal uygulamalarını kapsar.
1. Topladığımız veriler
- Hesap verileri: e-posta adresiniz, giriş yönteminiz (e-posta/şifre, Google veya Apple) ve benzersiz bir kullanıcı kimliği. Şifreler Firebase Authentication tarafından işlenir; biz şifrenizi görmeyiz.
- Oluşturduğunuz içerik: kiler ürünleri (ad, miktar, son kullanma tarihi), kaydettiğiniz, oluşturduğunuz veya içe aktardığınız tarifler, yemek planları, alışveriş listeleri, yemek günlüğü notları ve fotoğrafları ve tarif sohbetinde gönderdiğiniz mesajlar.
- Beslenme profili (isteğe bağlı): vermeyi seçerseniz diyetler, alerjiler, kişi sayısı, genel pişirme süresi ve ana hedef. Diyet ve alerji seçimleri sağlık veya dinî bilgileri ortaya çıkarabilir; bunları yalnızca uygulamanın sizin için oluşturduğu tarifleri uyarlamak için kullanırız. İstediğiniz zaman Ayarlar → Beslenme profili bölümünden değiştirebilir veya silebilirsiniz.
- Satın alımlar: Premium'a abone olursanız abonelik durumunuz (ürün, mağaza, deneme ve yenileme veya bitiş tarihleri). Ödemeleri Apple veya Google yürütür; kart bilgilerinizi hiçbir zaman almayız.
- Kullanım sayıları: plan limitlerini uygulamak için günlük veya haftalık olarak kaç yapay zekâ özelliği (tarama, içe aktarma, AI tarifi, sohbet mesajı) kullandığınız.
- Fotoğraflar: ürün taramak veya bir tarife ya da sohbete eklemek için çektiğiniz veya seçtiğiniz görseller (ör. fiş, market ürünleri, yemek). Fotoğraflara yalnızca böyle bir işlemi siz başlattığınızda erişilir.
- Ayarlar: uygulama dili, saat dilimi ve bildirim tercihleri (hangi bildirimler, hangi saatte).
- Cihaz verileri: bildirim belirteci (Firebase Cloud Messaging), uygulama kurulum kimliği ve sunucularımızı kötüye kullanıma karşı korumak için Firebase App Check verileri.
Hassas konumunuzu, rehberinizi veya reklam kimliklerini toplamayız; uygulamada reklam yoktur.
2. Verileri nasıl kullanırız
- Uygulama özelliklerini sunmak için: kiler, tarif, plan ve alışveriş listenizi cihazlarınız arasında senkronize etmek.
- İstediğiniz yapay zekâ özelliklerini üretmek için: fotoğraflardaki ürünleri tanıma, tarif önerme ve oluşturma, bağlantıdan tarif içe aktarma, tarif sohbeti ve günlük tarif önerileri.
- İzin verdiğiniz hatırlatmaları göndermek için: kendi cihazınızda planlanan son kullanma uyarıları ve Premium'da ayrıca günlük tarif, son kullanma ve yemek planı bildirimleri.
- Yemek ipuçlarını ve ara sıra Premium tekliflerini yalnızca İpuçları ve teklifler seçeneğini açarsanız göndermek için (varsayılan olarak kapalıdır; Ayarlar'dan istediğiniz zaman kapatabilirsiniz).
- Premium aboneliğinizi sunmak ve yönetmek ve her planın limitlerini uygulamak için.
- Hizmeti güvende tutmak, kötüye kullanımı önlemek, kullanım limitlerini uygulamak ve hataları gidermek için.
Kişisel verilerinizi satmayız ve reklam amacıyla kullanmayız.
3. Verileri kimlerle paylaşırız
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): kimlik doğrulama, veritabanı (Cloud Firestore), dosya depolama, Cloud Functions, bildirimler ve App Check. Veriler Google sunucularında saklanır.
- Google Gemini (Google LLC, Firebase AI Logic ve Gemini API üzerinden): bir yapay zekâ özelliğini kullandığınızda ilgili girdi (ör. fotoğraf, kiler ürün adları, bir tarif, sohbet mesajınız ve belirlediyseniz beslenme profiliniz) sonucu üretmek için Google'ın yapay zekâ modellerine gönderilir.
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): Premium satın alımlarını yönetir. Aboneliğinizi doğrulamak ve durumunu güncel tutmak için kullanıcı kimliğinizi ve Apple veya Google'dan gelen satın alma bilgilerini alır.
- Apple ve Google uygulama mağazaları: abonelik ödemelerini kendi koşulları ve gizlilik politikalarına göre işler.
- Open Food Facts: barkod taradığınızda ürünü bulmak için yalnızca barkod numarası gönderilir. Kişisel veri gönderilmez.
- İçe aktardığınız web siteleri: bir bağlantıdan tarif içe aktardığınızda sunucumuz o sayfayı getirir. Web sitesine kişisel veri gönderilmez.
- Giriş sağlayıcıları: Google veya Apple ile giriş yaparsanız bu sağlayıcılar girişinizi kendi gizlilik politikalarına göre işler.
- Yasal yükümlülükler: kanunen gerekli olduğunda verileri paylaşabiliriz.
4. Güvenlik
Tüm veriler şifreli bağlantılar (HTTPS/TLS) üzerinden gönderilir. Veritabanındaki verilerinize erişim, güvenlik kurallarıyla yalnızca kendi hesabınızla sınırlıdır.
5. Saklama ve silme
Verilerinizi hesabınız var olduğu sürece saklarız. Tek tek öğeleri istediğiniz zaman uygulamadan silebilirsiniz. Hesabınızı uygulamada Ayarlar → Hesap → Hesabı sil bölümünden silebilirsiniz; bu işlem hesabınızı ve ona bağlı verileri siler. Silme talebini e-posta ile de iletebilirsiniz (aşağıya bakın). Bazı veriler silinmeden önce sınırlı bir süre yedeklerde kalabilir.
6. Haklarınız
Yaşadığınız yere bağlı olarak (ör. KVKK veya GDPR kapsamında) verilerinize erişme, düzeltme, silme, dışa aktarma ve işlenmesine itiraz etme veya kısıtlama haklarınız olabilir. Bu haklarınızı kullanmak için bizimle iletişime geçin.
7. Çocuklar
Uygulama 13 yaşından küçük çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bilerek onlardan veri toplamayız.
8. Değişiklikler
Bu politikayı güncelleyebiliriz. Değişiklikler bu sayfada yeni bir "son güncelleme" tarihiyle yayımlanır.
